If we take a closer look at the single national curriculum issued by the government of Pakistan, we see 5 great qualities. What are the 5 major strengths that distinguish this program? Let’s see.
1. Islamic Values:
The biggest and most important feature of this program is that it uses Islamic values and Islamic rituals in a very appropriate way.
The fifth book of English is in my hand and we see that whenever the name of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is mentioned in it, it is accompanied by Khatam-un-Nabiyyin (peace be upon him and his companions). You will recall that the person who was objected to was deliberately misreading the word Khatam-un-Nabiyyin. His government has made it mandatory that whenever the name of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is written in a book, the Khatam-un-Nabiyyin (peace be upon him and his Companions) will be written. This was not only a heartfelt wish of the Pakistani people but also an honor bestowed on the present government. It is difficult to predict the lightning that will strike the opponents of the end of prophethood in this process. This has been a long-standing demand of the Muslims of Pakistan, and they look very happy when this demand is met.
2. National Events:
Dear readers! Eids are of great importance in the Islamic concept of celebrating happiness. The Single National Curriculum also has space for celebrating in an Islamic way and highlighting the importance of these festivals. Fifth graders have been introduced to festivals like Eid-ul-Adha. Why do we sacrifice and why do we share the meat of the sacrificial animal? Important concepts have been introduced.
3۔ Pictorial Environment:
The third important feature of this book and its syllabus is that it has created a pictorial environment to acquaint the children with the educational environment which will be of great interest to the children. Because children learn quickly through visual aids. The lesson has been made interesting by placing pictures in various places inside the lessons.
4. Grammar-Based Exercises:
I would like to draw your attention to a very important feature. There is great emphasis on grammar in this book. The first lesson, which consists of one and a half pages, has 8 pages for practice. In which the following sections are created.

- Learning to speak
- Reading comprehension
- Analytical Reading
- Vocabulary Building
- Learning to spell
- Grammar
It is an important development that grammar has been given so much importance. Below the last section on grammar is a large repository. You know that grammar is very important for learning any language properly.

Structure of Sentence
And Phonemes
5. Character Building Topics:
The fifth important feature we will talk about is its comparative overview. Yes! You may have seen the private sector books. In the books that are used in private sectors, topics are chosen in such a way that these topics have no relations with Pakistani society and have no place in Muslim society. Lessons are made of such events and celebrations which have nothing to do with our society. Children are not interested in them and the matter passes over their heads. In contrast, when we review the topics in the Single National Curriculum, they are in line with our values.
Important topics such as the biography of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), the role of women in the development of the country, ethics, Islamic festivals, cleanliness of the environment, and political concepts have been given space. These topics are in line with the requirements of modern times.
The question arises, what will be the reaction of the private school mafia, whose main source of income was the sale of books? ۔ The book they used to charge Rs. 1000 will now be available for Rs. 95.
